Days of togetherness on the verge of end

Moments of madness seem to fade,

Time that’s blissful is slipping by the hand,

Emptiness of the classroom haunts the heart,

Friends will drift like bits and parts,

Coffee in the canteen, talks in the corridors,

Lunches during the lectures, facing the vivas,

Fear of the backlogs, fights with buddies,

A beautiful panorama of golden years,

Era so euphoric, thoughts that were crazy,

Dreams so magnanimous, sparks of naughtiness,

In a blink of an eye, will be just a memory,

The smiles you gave, will stay forever,

Strength of your love and care, I will forget never,

You, my dear friend, enriched the journey of life with your simple and quiet presence!!

The Letter!!

In the dark clouds, when baffled you were,
In the dreamy nights, when lost you were,
When things were upside down, life for you wasn’t too sound,
As a friend I was there, doing all that I could,
A pillar of strength & support of trust,
Never thought what you’ll give me in return… Little love & affection, I spared just for you,
Now that you are fine, & life’s bright again,
It seems to me, I mean nothing to you,
New people, new beginnings, you seem so occupied,
I sit & wonder, were we ever tied,
The friendship that we shared is lost somewhere,
Gone are the days of sharing secrets & dreams,
No place in your happy world, I have, it seems…

There, throughout, reconstructing,
Putting pieces of your messed up world together,
Every moment, trying to make you feel better,
But today, standing all alone, on this bright sunny day,
Beneath the shadows of neglect & hurt,
All from a pal, I considered the best…

It’s mean & unfair, but this is all, I have got in my share…
